We often hear the phrase “the atmosphere of the place.” For example, being influenced by the atmosphere of the place or getting drunk on the air of the place. When watching the stage of a popular singer or actor, usually quiet girls or sensible women may become enthusiastic and start shouting, forgetting themselves. In a narrow cinema or theater, an earthquake or fire can cause panic. This is crowd psychology. Conversely, attending a church or ceremony can make one feel solemn. The rise in religious sentiment is due to the atmosphere of such a church. Rituals are necessary at life’s milestones because they need to change the state of the surrounding environment. Being in nature makes the heart generous. Visiting a sacred place makes one feel tense. When alone, one may be cowardly, but when in a group, one becomes bold. Loneliness takes away hope from humans, but being with comrades who share the same purpose and ambition gives courage. A family atmosphere gives humans a sense of security. To win a match, you must boost the morale of the players. This is because humans’ motivation, morale, and spirit can rise or fall depending on the atmosphere of the place. In war, humans can kill people and destroy cities without hesitation. In extreme situations, humans reveal their true nature. The power of the place can even overturn human values and character from the ground up. Just as the phrase “fire-fighting strength” suggests, the atmosphere of the place can bring out unimaginable strength. Why do such situations occur? Why do people fall into such psychological states? The atmosphere of the place can cause crowds to panic or feel solemn. Humans tend to be easily influenced by the power of the place, to varying degrees. Moreover, many wars and human disasters are caused by the power of such places. The power of the place can change human nature. However, the power of the place, which has such immense power, is ambiguous and vague. Understanding the meaning of the power of such a place and directing it correctly is the key to opening the future of humanity.

A field refers to a space where an individual at each point in space receives the action of a force with certain characteristics depending on its position. Fields are classified by the nature of the acting force. Individual fields do not directly interfere with each other and are independent. This is called an independent field. Usually, the space we live in is shared by multiple fields. Such a space is called a layered field. Individual independent fields in a layered field are inseparably connected through the position and movement of individuals. Generally, fields change with position in space and also with time.

The concept of the field here is not necessarily limited to the physical concept of the field. Whether it is space or a field, it cannot be uniformly and isotropically defined under any conditions or assumptions. The uniformity of space or fields is relative to a given coordinate system. Also, fields are fundamentally different from mere space (generally referring to three-dimensional space). There is as much difference as between an empty cup and a glass cylinder. However, when measuring the movement of objects in the field or the state of the field, the relationship with the coordinate system can easily confuse fields with space. Therefore, fields are not necessarily uniform with respect to the space specified by the coordinate system. For example, if the space created by the water flowing through a water pipe is considered a field, the shape created by the water pipe can be considered the shape of the field. In this way, the shape of the field cannot be uniquely determined and is influenced by the state of the space that constitutes the field.

Fields exist not only in nature but also in artificial societies. What is an artificial field? It is a space created based on the agreement of multiple humans. For example, a space based on the rules of sports. That is, when people share a law or principle based on mutual agreement, they are governed by a force with certain characteristics. From this perspective, a nation can also be considered a field. Of course, artificial fields and natural fields are different. Artificial fields are established by human agreement and maintained by human will, fundamentally different from natural fields that are not influenced by human actions. However, considering that a force with certain characteristics works on human will, it can also be considered a field. In this way, fields do not necessarily act on all objects or states. There are fields that act under specific conditions or situations, and fields that act only on specific substances. If there are fields that exist without physical reactions, they cannot be observed by physical experiments alone. Also, forces that manifest under certain special conditions cannot be observed unless such conditions occur. In this way, fields are forces that act potentially, and there may be unknown fields acting in places we do not know. There may also be mental or spiritual fields. However, we will first consider fields that are known or can be observed by some means. This is because fields that have no impact on us or cannot be observed are meaningless to us. The reason for suggesting the possibility of such fields here is to clarify the meaning of fields and the possibility that considering such fields may become necessary in our society or science in the future.

We cannot directly perceive fields. We observe the fields behind the movement of objects and phenomena. The concept of the field cannot be explained by directly perceivable objects. The existence of fields is indirectly recognized through the movement of objects and phenomena, not directly by the five senses. When we talk about existence, we generally refer to objects that can be directly perceived by the five senses. However, space and fields cannot be touched, seen, or smelled directly. When we talk about the existence of space or fields, we feel a sense of discomfort because space and fields cannot be perceived by the five senses. Therefore, the existence of fields is largely intuitive. Humans are not good at understanding things indirectly and intuitively. Therefore, it was once thought that the universe was filled with some medium. This medium was called ether. Today, the idea that such ether exists in the traditional sense has been generally denied. Instead, the concept of the field was introduced. When understanding the concept of the field, we must keep these circumstances in mind.

When we try to explain objects that we cannot perceive, we often explain them by transferring some concepts from known perceivable objects. Indeed, this is an effective means to give the person trying to explain an image. However, at the same time, it may constrain our thinking to perceivable objects. It is like confusing a parable with a real story. What we assume is the existence of objects or phenomena, not the form or aspect of change. When assuming the existence of objects or phenomena, their form or aspect of change is merely an attribute. We must not lose sight of the truth by being obsessed with the form or aspect, which are attributes. It would be foolish to obscure the original characteristics by transferring concepts from other concepts to explain the concept of the field or space. The concepts of fields and space have their inherent characteristics, and borrowing other concepts can cause confusion. Also, the forces that constitute fields are extremely abstract, and forces cannot be directly perceived. Therefore, to understand the concept of objects that cannot be directly perceived, we must refine our intuition and avoid borrowing from other concepts as much as possible. Once we understand the meaning of the concept, we must strive to free ourselves from the borrowed concepts. Logic is merely a form. However, once logically systematized, ideas become highly persuasive. Also, humans have a tendency to be easily captivated by ideas, especially those that cannot be directly perceived, such as space and fields. Therefore, it is necessary to constantly repeat demonstrations to ensure that ideas and reality do not diverge. We must not be misled by words. What is important is the fact. To know the facts, we must guarantee a free position that is not constrained by ideas.

The problem is the separation of ideas and reality. When ideas and reality separate, ideas become fiction, and reality loses its potential for development. The greatest error scholars make is knowing words but not concepts. The common mistake educators make is knowing knowledge but not knowing students. That is, knowing what to teach but not knowing whom to teach. Similarly, the common error scientists make is knowing laws but not knowing phenomena. Even if they know the laws, if they do not know the phenomena indicated by the laws, they cannot understand the meaning of the laws. If data is falsified to fit a hypothesis, science loses its foundation. Even if a plan is made, it cannot be executed without knowing reality. Without making a plan, reality cannot be overcome. If science is dominated by ideas and separated from reality, science loses its basis. If the laws and principles created by science are regarded as absolute truths and sanctified, science loses its essence. Especially when dealing with abstract concepts like space and fields, we must keep this point in mind.

Truth is close to us, and we often do not notice it. Seeking truth may be like looking for the hat you are wearing. Understanding the concept of the field requires intuition. It is necessary to intuitively grasp the field through phenomena. Those who cannot believe in anything cannot understand anything. No matter how simple something is, trying to explain it strictly makes it complicated. However, from the perspective of those who use the laws, the credibility of the results is more important than strict demonstration. If the credibility is high, those who use it can use it with confidence and apply it. How to increase credibility is essentially the accumulation of data. Demonstration is important, but to increase credibility, it is more important to observe facts, accumulate experiments, and practicalize laws to accumulate data.

Once a hypothesis is formalized, it can constrain reality. There are many examples where theories and concepts precede and facts and truths are hidden. Words without objects or concepts they signify are harmful because they confuse thinking. Of course, they cannot be explained. While laws and meanings can be applied to phenomena and objects, phenomena cannot be applied to laws and hypotheses. What is important is not the hypothesis we set up, but reality. It is important to explore causes and motives, but distorting facts for one’s convenience is putting the cart before the horse. Whether something can be explained or not is irrelevant to the truth. Even if we value empirical evidence, it is meaningless if the underlying phenomena or data are wrong. If the underlying facts are false, no matter how precise and accurate the subsequent hypotheses or theories are, they are meaningless. If we have a wrong understanding of space and fields, the worldview derived from it will also be far from reality. What is important is how we perceive the power of the fields surrounding us. Especially, we cannot correctly understand social phenomena without accurately knowing the power and effects of artificially formed fields in society.

When trying to understand an idea, we must not be misled by superficial contradictions. When considering fields and individuals, the movement of fields and individuals changes with the preconditions and specified coordinate systems. However, we must not be dazzled by such superficial changes. It is premature to conclude that derived laws and equations are contradictory. The important thing is the transformability between the coordinate systems that are the preconditions of the idea. If there is interchangeability between coordinates and consistency in their transformation, the laws derived from them are said to have inclusiveness. When capturing the movement of individuals in relation to fields and space, we must be aware of the existence of coordinate systems that are the preconditions of fields and space. We must not forget that phenomena within fields and space change with the way coordinate systems are set. The credibility, that is, the legitimacy of hypotheses about phenomena, is determined by the inclusiveness between coordinate systems.

The direction and purpose of the movement of individuals are determined by the resultant force of the forces exerted by the fields on the individuals. Here, individuals refer to objects including oneself. Individual independent fields are independent, and the influence on individuals is independent unless mediated by the movement of individuals. Therefore, the direction and purpose of individuals are composites of the directionality and purposiveness of individual independent fields. In other words, individuals are simultaneously influenced by multiple forces of different natures. This is called the simultaneity of action. Individuals can be considered as mediators connecting fields. The movement of individuals is influenced by the forces of the fields, and the forces acting on the fields change with the movement of individuals. In this way, fields simultaneously act on each other through the mediation of the movement of individuals. Acting simultaneously on multiple fields is called the action-reaction of individuals. Even if fields influence each other through the mediation of individuals, individual fields remain independent. Therefore, the direction and purpose of individual independent fields must be clearly distinguished. In other words, the direction and purpose of the movement of individuals are not determined by a single direction. However, the direction and purpose of the movement of individuals must be unified. That is, the forces acting on individuals must not be divided within individuals. If divided within individuals, it means the disintegration of individuals. Therefore, individuals must have a point of concentrated force, that is, a center of gravity. Individuals are positioned where the forces of the fields influencing them are most balanced or stationary relative to a specific coordinate system. In this way, individuals belonging to the same field are related to each other through the mediation of the forces of the fields. This is called structuring when multiple individuals are related in this way.

I define myself as an individual that connects the field of objective reality and the field of subjective existence. I call myself a person in the field of objective reality and myself in the field of subjective existence. Living organisms that have life within themselves have motives within themselves. The internal world that determines one’s actions and the external world are separate worlds. It is oneself that throws the internal world into the external world using one’s body. In other words, the internal world and the external world are independent of each other, and it is oneself that connects the independent internal space and external space. Naturally, the equations of the internal field of oneself and the external equations are different. Therefore, conflicts arise between the internal world and the external world, and through these conflicts, one exerts influence on both the internal world and the external world. At the same time, this conflict is the very essence of human suffering. Human suffering originates from the root of human existence, and when one loses oneself trying to escape suffering, one loses the connection between the internal world and the external world. As a result, the internal world and the external world split, and the consistency of actions is lost. Human suffering is fate. Humans become stronger through suffering and grow by overcoming suffering. Human suffering is like labor pains, it is the pain of creation.

Humans simultaneously exert influence on both the internal world and the external world through their actions, and as a result, humans receive the force from both the internal field and the external field simultaneously. Individual actions simultaneously affect both the conceptual field and the real field. Human actions have both the development of the internal world and social impact. This resultant force determines the direction of human actions. Social actions simultaneously bring about psychological changes. This bidirectional effect is called the action-reaction of one’s actions.

The degree of freedom of an individual is determined by the amount of selection factors given to the individual’s movement. In other words, the width of the selection possibilities in the individual determines the width of the individual’s freedom of movement. Selection factors are formed by the inherent decision factors of the individual and the quality of the force acting on the individual. To actually realize and embody freedom, the direction of the individual’s internal force and the force of the field must be aligned to smooth the individual’s movement. To release the individual’s movement does not mean eliminating the laws and actions of the field to which the individual belongs, but rather expanding the width of the individual’s decision factors and increasing the selection factors of the force acting on the individual, thereby effectively utilizing the laws of the force acting on the individual and maximizing the individual’s kinetic energy. In this way, freedom is determined within the internal desires and external constraints. The movement of objects with uniform internal decision factors can be uniquely determined by the action of the field, but in the case of humans and animals with complex internal decision factors, the force of the field alone cannot uniquely determine the movement of objects. Nevertheless, the fact that the movement of individuals is constrained by the force of the field is undeniable. When the structure of the field is distorted in an artificial field, the force acting on the individual becomes uneven and heterogeneous, and differences arise in the selection factors of the individual, that is, the person. Although it is inevitable that differences arise in the force acting on individuals in a general field, a social structure that unjustly reduces the degree of freedom of individuals due to derived differences without legitimate reasons is inherently oppressive to human abilities. Such a social structure that causes unjust differences is called discrimination. A free society refers to a society where the width of selection factors is kept homogeneous and uniform. Artificial fields and natural fields cannot be discussed on the same dimension. However, efforts must be made to bring artificial fields closer to natural fields because that is what makes humans free. The closer artificial fields approach natural fields, the greater the degree of freedom of human actions. This is because the unnatural distortion of artificial spaces narrows the width of human action choices and hinders free actions. Therefore, artificial fields must be made as equal as possible. Inequality is the most unnatural thing that restricts human actions.

When considering artificial fields, think of sports fields. Sports fields are artificial fields. When entering a designated field, one must act according to the prescribed laws, that is, the rules. Rules are artificial laws of motion. During the game, the movement of the ball, that is, the individual, acts on the field, changing the defensive positions and defensive systems of the players, and determining the direction of the next ball’s movement. In this way, the movement of the individual is determined by the action of the field on the individual. Also, individual individuals are related by the force of the field.

The concepts of individuals and objects are also relative. If the field is considered to be filled with forces acting horizontally, individuals and objects can be considered forces acting vertically. Also, individuals can be assumed to be the inversion of the field or occupying part of the field space. The distortion of the field can also be considered as wrinkles. It is not necessary to consider the field and individuals as discontinuous. In this way, the concepts related to individuals are not absolute but relative. Since the concepts related to individuals are relative, the concepts related to the movement of individuals are also relative. The movement of individuals can be considered as the trajectory of the distortion of the field. Also, individuals can be considered to disappear once and reappear in another place, that is, the movement of individuals can be considered discontinuous. The action of the field on individuals can be considered remote or proximate. In this way, the concepts of movement and action are also relative. The concepts related to the field are also relative. For example, the acceleration movement accompanying the falling movement of objects can be considered to arise from the distortion of the field, and by correcting the distortion of the field, it can be converted into linear motion. Also, there are fields that become uneven due to the existence of individuals and fields that are not influenced by the existence of individuals. There are fields that react only to specific individuals and fields that occur under specific conditions. The elements that constitute the field are filled with medium-like substances like ether, or they can be considered as potential forces, and this point is also debated. In this way, the concept of the field is also relative.

Once rules are established, as long as the rules are followed, players are allowed to take any action. The more familiar one becomes with the rules, the more one trains the body and improves skills, the wider the range of actions becomes. If rules are not established, one must constantly think and judge one’s actions, which is rather restrictive. If laws are clarified, humans can fly in the sky or dive in the sea for long periods. It is wrong to think that humans are restricted because there are rules. Because there are rules, humans can determine their will, and by becoming familiar with the rules, humans can become free. Some think that learning takes away free time. However, that is wrong. By accumulating learning, humans can enrich their knowledge and enhance their possibilities. By training the body, humans can overcome their limits. By improving skills, humans can create more things. The more humans accumulate learning, train their bodies, and refine their skills, the wider the range of choices and the freer they become. In other words, we accumulate learning, train our bodies, and refine our skills to become freer. Freedom is not the absence of restrictions. Freedom is overcoming numerous restrictions and expanding the radius of one’s actions. Some argue that labor should be minimized because it restricts humans. However, labor is a means of self-realization, and the workplace is a place for self-realization. Certainly, excessive labor can devastate both the body and mind. However, it is not labor that devastates oneself. It is simply that the working conditions and environment are poor. It is too simplistic to deny labor as unnecessary just because the working conditions and environment are poor. Denying the place of self-realization means denying the realization of freedom. One must not be deluded into thinking that freedom is being released from immediate suffering. Freedom is not something that can be obtained without effort.

Are we overestimating the power of reason? The greatest force that moves people is the atmosphere of the place. The judgment of good and evil is merely a matter of right and wrong. What is considered right and what is considered wrong is determined by what one believes and what one cannot believe. What one believes is determined by what force makes one believe. And the force that can make people believe is stronger when it appeals to emotions rather than reason. People believe not because they are convinced, but because they are impressed. This is because human life is full of absurdities, and human death is too mysterious and negative to be rationally accepted. Thought exists to maintain and fulfill the power of artificial fields. In other words, theories are formed to inductively find the laws of the field and to more effectively utilize the power of the field. When trying to find laws, they are sought inductively, and when practicalizing them, they are sought deductively. Thought is fundamentally conceptual. Therefore, thought can be a blueprint for constructing entities, but it cannot become an entity itself. What is substantial is not thought but the real field. Observing the real field, finding laws, or establishing laws that govern the real field, and constructing various entities based on those laws, that is human wisdom.

Concepts are islands floating in the sea of emotions. Sensitivity creates concepts. Human sensitivity and emotions fill the gaps between concepts. At the root of human thought, there are always emotions such as resentment, suffering, obsession, and indignation. Ideals are born from the real field. The source of ideals is the contradictions, dissatisfaction, misery, evil, and despair of reality. Ideals do not arise from those who are satisfied with the current situation. Therefore, ideals are born only when there is intense passion to confront the contradictions and limitations of reality. To realize ideals, the power of reason alone is not enough; there must be heat and passion that move people. It is human sensitivity that moves the real field. The power of reason directs and controls such power of the field in the right direction. It is difficult for individuals to resist the power of the field. The power of the field is like propane gas. Propane gas is safe when its power is controlled using containers and tools, and it is useful for people’s lives. However, if handled incorrectly, it can cause great disasters. To create and realize ideals, the power of sensitivity is necessary. However, if the power of sensitivity cannot be controlled, humans will be ruined. Reason is like the containers and tools used to handle propane gas. Also, just as social systems and laws are necessary to safely handle containers and tools, some social mechanisms and agreements are necessary to control the power of the real field. Therefore, humans need to establish systems and institutions that allow reason to work. If reason is taken away from humans, they cannot fulfill social responsibilities. If humans are only controlled by sensitivity, they will lose a common foundation. Therefore, humans need the power of law to control the field and the power of reason to suppress emotions. We must correctly understand the workings of the power of reason and the power of sensitivity and accurately grasp where they act.

Certainly, one can drive a car without knowing the laws of physics. It is not realistic to conduct advanced physics tests to grant a driver’s license. Knowing the laws of physics alone is useless; the laws of physics are useful only when practicalized. The laws of physics are effective in the process of practicalizing automobiles. The number of people who invent and practicalize automobiles is much smaller than the number of people who use automobiles. Therefore, in the real world, laws for safely operating automobiles are more important than the laws of physics for utilizing automobiles. In the real world, judgments of right and wrong are often intuitive rather than rational. Reality is too complex to be determined by the power of reason alone. Reason is necessary when humans organize their thoughts and compile them into a system. It is also necessary to manage and control one’s actions.

Such reason is necessary when forming one’s values and does not often appear on the surface when making real decisions. It is too late to think about countermeasures after encountering some disaster or incident. Therefore, humans must decide in advance how to deal with certain situations based on their experiences and education. Reason works only when numerous possible situations are predicted in advance and countermeasures are prepared. Reason works on matters for which systems and values are prepared to allow the power of reason to be effective. When immediate judgment is required, the result or conclusion is often the focus in the real world, and there is often no time to consider principles or causes. Judgments of good and evil are based on solid values. Such judgment criteria must be somewhat concluded in advance. That is morality and life view. Also, to avoid trouble when immediate judgment is required, knowledge and information must be accumulated and organized in advance. That is common sense. Therefore, for many people, it is more important to understand what peace is, how peace can be realized, and what must be maintained to sustain peace than to strictly demonstrate why peace is right. This is because changing the judgment of success or failure is not easy. When faced with unpredictable situations, the power of human reason becomes powerless and is swept away by the power of the field. Therefore, if one tries to handle things with the power of reason alone without calculating the power of the field, one often fails. Even seemingly rational worlds and actions always have some power of the field working behind them, and to guide society in the right direction and maintain social peace, the power of the field working at the root of society must always be correctly recognized.

Words and concepts alone cannot lead people. It is only by directly appealing to common experiences, common troubles, common purposes, and common interests that people can be moved. If there is no resonance between each other, people will not trust their counterparts. It is the power of the real field that nurtures human empathy and emotions. The source of all vitality is the power of the field. What nurtures oneself is the internal power of the field, that is, willpower. Therefore, human society cannot be established by reason alone. Just as we must understand and base our actions on the laws of nature to improve our lives, we must provide systematic and clear laws to the artificial field to correctly and effectively utilize its power. However, while observing nature is sufficient to understand the laws of the natural field, the artificial field is different. The natural field is given, while the artificial field is created by our will and agreement. This is why human society needs thought and philosophy. However, this is only to the extent of the role that physics has played in modern science and technology, and we must not forget that at the base of human society, there are forces like sensitivity and emotions that cannot be fully explained by logic.

Human society has a layered structure. For society to be formed, there must be some field at its base. Human society is established by accumulating fields. Even the smallest group, if it has some relationship as a group, must have some field at its base. Naturally, the wider the range of the field’s power, the weaker the connection. In other words, the degree of agreement decreases. Therefore, the closer human society is to oneself, the thicker the layers become. The thicker the layers, the denser the power of the field. Conversely, the further humans are from themselves, the lower the degree of agreement and the thinner the layers of the field.

On top of the natural field, the human field is layered, and on top of the human field, the national field is layered, and on top of the national field, the regional field is layered. Additionally, not only regional fields but also the field of a company is layered if one becomes an employee. Finally, the internal field of oneself is layered on top. There are also classifications of public and private fields. There are individual differences in the layering of these fields, and the higher the layering, the higher the degree of agreement in the society to which one belongs. The agreements that constitute the field are not necessarily codified. Rather, they are often based on implicit agreements and norms. In other words, the power that constitutes the field is not necessarily an explicit power but often a potential power, or rather, it may be more accurate to say that there are many elements that cannot be logically explained. In any case, it is better to think that the power of the field is created by invisible elements. Because it is invisible, the power of the field has a stronger influence on society. It is not an exaggeration to say that the world is composed and moved by the power of the field. Therefore, if humans want to do something, for example, start a business, they must satisfy the power of each field, work on the elements that constitute the field, and enhance the vitality of the field. To establish an organization or society, the agreements of the group must be accumulated. Agreement is the condensation and solidification of the group’s will, so to enhance the group’s agreement power, the cohesion power of the field must be increased. To increase the cohesion power of the field, an organization, individual, or principle that aggregates the power of the field is necessary. As the power of the field becomes more substantial, the elements related by the power of the field form a system and preserve the power of the field. In this way, society is formed. Therefore, human society begins to disintegrate when the agreements that constitute the field are broken. To maintain the artificial field, laws and systems must be formalized. In this way, laws and organizations have been formalized to maintain the power of the field.

The power of the artificial field is gradually fulfilled by the accumulation of elements such as culture, history, tradition, ethnicity, regionality, customs, thought, education, reform, and religion. A strong leader may appear and rapidly condense the power of the field, add new elements, or change direction, but even in such cases, the power of the field cannot be ignored. At the base of human society, such fields exist potentially and exert a hidden influence on people’s daily lives. The elements that constitute the power of such fields are often symbolized and transmitted in the form of myths and legends, rather than being formalized or logically explained. Such non-formalized and non-logically explained field power may suddenly become apparent and induce unexpected collective actions as the emotions of the society. Such actions are difficult to control even for internal leaders or central forces, and may destroy the social system and order, and even disassemble the foundation of the society. Long-standing resentment and grudges may accumulate within the group, creating irreconcilable conflicting elements between groups. Therefore, it is the greatest challenge for rulers to correctly understand the elements of the power of the field that constitutes the society and how to direct the power of the field in a constructive direction. As the radius of human actions continues to expand, the unification and systematization of the artificial field are required to ensure individual rights and safety. In other words, it is required that all humanity stands on the same horizon.

Natural science has succeeded in eliminating barriers between individual societies by placing its foundation in the natural field. That is because the natural field is the most uniform and homogeneous. Modern rational spirit has developed based on the achievements of natural science, and by placing its foundation in a homogeneous field like the natural field, it eliminates the heterogeneity of the power of the field, and by creating a system from there, it aims to reconstruct the artificial field and enhance the unity and consistency of the artificial field. Modern rational spirit has developed based on such scientific ideas. This is also the foundational idea that characterizes modern society, including science, democracy, modern accounting, and modern sports. In other words, modern democracy’s foundational idea is to enhance the unity of the social field by accumulating agreements from what can be agreed upon and measuring the consistency of those agreements, rather than seeking comprehensive agreement all at once. In other words, a democratic group is a society based on the minimum agreement necessary to form a group, based on the greatest common divisor.

Sports have no borders. That is because the field created by sports according to the rules is universal. Besides modern sports, there are three other things that have become universal in modern times and created a system on a global scale: modern science, modern accounting, and democracy. The power of the field connects concepts and individuals. Modern science has focused on and elucidated the laws of the field. Modern sports have realized the freedom of action by setting up artificial fields based on rules. Modern accounting has systematized economic activities into one equation and captured the economy as one field, starting with double-entry bookkeeping. Democracy has established the state as one field based on the idea of sovereignty of the people and law. These four ideas have the common point of specifying the field in which they function by one legal system. The concept of the field is one of the significant elements that established modernity. By setting up such a universal field, modernity has been able to overcome the barriers of borders.

There are many similarities between modern sports and modern science. The development of modern sports and the history of modern science strangely coincide. Moreover, sports naturally realize freedom, equality, and fairness. I cannot help but think that the prototype of future society exists in sports. Watching sports games and players, their morale and spirit are high, and efficiency is good. These prove that realizing freedom, equality, and fairness maximizes morale, spirit, and efficiency. Sports players and spectators understand the rules but do not necessarily understand the system or principles that created the rules. Modern sports still have many unexplained mysteries. Sports players should focus on mastering the rules and basic techniques of sports. In other words, the weight of elements such as training and cultivation is heavier than learning, and practical elements are higher than theoretical ones. For players, it is important to handle the given position, and they build their training methods and principles according to that purpose. The judgments made there are intuitive, and if they think deeply about basic movements and judgments, they cannot win the game. The important element that determines the outcome of the game is, of course, the skills and teamwork of each player, but more than that, it is influenced by the morale and momentum of the team. During the game, players who are considered star players rarely have the rules surface in their consciousness; they play unconsciously. Rules and skills should be mastered before the game starts, and during the game, they must judge and move reflexively. Players can concentrate their consciousness on the game and reach a state of selflessness because sports have certain rules, and players are familiar with them and have mastered the techniques. When humans reach this state, they can maximize their potential and become free.

When the action of the force from the field on the individual and the effect of the elements that constitute the field on the individual are stable and highly consistent, the individual’s movement becomes smooth and active. As long as humans live a social life, they inevitably belong to several artificial fields. However, not all the fields they belong to exert force in the same direction. Usually, there is always a force from the field that opposes the direction they want to go. When encountering such resistance, humans feel restricted in their actions. We work on our inner selves and the external world to align the direction we want to go with the force of the field. Creating a system where the force of the field and one’s desires do not contradict each other is realizing a free system.

There are several fields within oneself. Human life becomes more fruitful by purifying, cleansing, and nurturing the vitality and spirit of these internal fields. It is one’s actions that embody the power of such fields. The source of energy that draws out human actions is the internal power of the field. However, we do not clearly recognize the internal field in our daily lives. For example, sexual impulses are triggered by the power of lust lurking within humans. However, it is not common to consciously recognize such lust as an ideological force rather than an impulsive force. Usually, the power of reason is needed to suppress and control such unknown lust. This reason is usually composed of one principle and managed by intelligence and consciousness. In other words, reason and morality are like containers or tools that store the energy that drives human actions. Thus, within humans, there are both the power of the field that generates the energy for human actions and the rational value system that controls and directs actions. Human actions are triggered by this duality, and it is not a simple matter of lust being evil and reason being good. Therefore, when judging human actions, it is important to confirm what standards and actions are influencing those actions. We must not forget that the elements that shape the human interior cannot be simply divided by judgments of good and evil. Just as it is unreasonable to unilaterally decide that the existence of gas is bad without clarifying the cause when a gas accident occurs, it is unreasonable to decide that human sin is the existence of human emotions. Whether it is electricity, oil, or nuclear power, energy is the source of vitality for all industries and life, and at the same time, it is dangerous if it cannot be controlled. We must not forget that many things that stimulate human actions are impulsive, and emotions and lust are often the source.

Humans belong to several fields. As long as they are human, they naturally belong to the natural field. They belong to the human field. They belong to the field created by their nationality and the country they live in. If they have any faith, they belong to the field formed by the sect they believe in. If they are employees, they belong to the field created by the company. Humans belong to the field created by the bloodline of the family they were born into. If they belong to any organization, they belong to the field formed by that organization. In this way, humans inevitably belong to several fields throughout their lives. These fields change with humans, time, growth processes, and places. The force exerted by the field also changes with the region, time, range of effectiveness, and the position of the human. The dimensions in which the force of the field acts are not homogeneous, such as spatial dimensions, conceptual dimensions, emotional dimensions, and sensory dimensions. In other words, the field and the force acting on the field are not isotropic and homogeneous but individualistic. Moreover, artificial fields are established by human subjective will, and the foundation of society itself is the accumulation of several fields, so in human space, many fields are intricately intertwined. Social fields are established by multiple individuals sharing one field. It is rather exceptional for the range of the field’s force to be specified by borders, and most fields cannot be demarcated by borders. The number of accumulated fields generates the force and laws acting on the individual, and the consistency between these laws is not necessarily maintained. If one wants to be loyal, one cannot be filial. If one wants to be filial, one cannot be loyal, or the dilemma between duty and human feelings, the force of the field and the force of the field may severely conflict and even split the individual. Moreover, the more the force of the field spreads, the thinner it becomes, and qualitative changes may occur. Christianity and Buddhism are good examples of qualitative changes due to temporal and regional expansion, creating many sects. Such changes in the field make human society more complex and undermine the unity of the field. Therefore, the modern era, when the radius of human actions has expanded to a global scale, has required the unification of such contradictory fields and the consistency of the field as a historical demand. The construction of a fair society based on freedom, equality, and fraternity as the basic goal of democracy is based on this historical demand. The fact that humanity is advocated along with democracy is because there is an intention to reconstruct a unified field based on basic human rights, with humanity as the common field. In other words, a unified field is established by eliminating conflicts between fields and ensuring freedom and equality, and the basic idea of democracy is that the power of the field is the spirit of fraternity. From this perspective, the idea of placing sovereignty in the people and basing the world on contractual agreements is an inevitable consequence. The fact that democracy blossomed most radically in the new continent of America is also natural from the democratic perspective of assuming a unified field that is not bound by past history and tradition. The revolutionary actions that opened the way to modernity by thoroughly destroying old customs in societies bound by long histories and traditions are also inevitable from the perspective of the historical demand for the unification of the field.

The power of the field cannot be directly perceived. It is not unreasonable to think of it as something like air. The space created by air can be considered a kind of field, but there is a debate about whether the field should be perceived as material or non-material, and this issue is purely a physical task, so I will refrain from entering into that discussion here. In any case, the power of the field plays an important role for us like air, but it is not visible. It is not an exaggeration to say that modernity began when it was discovered that the real world is moved by forces that cannot be directly perceived, and that these forces have laws and are not arbitrary. The concept of the field is revolutionary and difficult to understand. How to achieve the consistency of such fields has become the greatest challenge for modern people. Human concepts are inherently imperfect, and if left to individual judgment, errors will inevitably occur. Therefore, democracy was adopted to eliminate arbitrary judgments based on such imperfect human concepts, by unifying wills based on agreements, that is, composite wills. In other words, it is not the unification of wills by one genius, but the unification of wills by the power of laws established through elections and meetings. The basic idea of democracy is that the field must be regulated based on the power of laws codified through democratic procedures. In other words, it is the idea of controlling the power of the field with so-called social containers, tools, and devices such as systems, laws, and procedures. This idea denies the ancient belief in supernatural gods’ will to control the power of fire and nature, and the idea of dictators and feudal forces relying on fear and military power to control the field with violent power while ignoring the people’s will. Instead, it is the idea of controlling the field with indirect systems rather than directly influencing the existence that directly controls the power of the field. Therefore, modern spirit does not deny invisible forces like sensitivity and emotions. Rather, it is the idea of actively utilizing and controlling invisible forces. Therefore, the materialistic idea of perceiving only perceptible things as real and considering everything in this world as material is anti-modern and unscientific.

We have not elucidated all fields. We do not always live in a space with all fields complete. Furthermore, artificial fields are creative fields, so they can be newly created and added according to situations and needs. The inner world of humans is a dark continent, still unexplored and untrodden. Even phenomena considered unscientific as supernatural phenomena today may still have the possibility of being scientifically examined by elucidating new fields. It is conceivable that there are fields that react only to specific individuals or conditions. The essence of the power of such fields still contains many parts wrapped in mystery. The elucidation of potentially existing fields or yet undiscovered fields will be the greatest challenge for humanity in the future. The creation and discovery of new fields hold the future of humanity.

To effectively utilize the power of the field, the state of the field is important. By controlling the state of the field, the power of the field can be kept stable and exerted in a certain direction. To maintain the state of the field and safely utilize the power of the field, some devices are necessary. In artificial fields, laws and systems are necessary. To fulfill the power of the artificial field, rituals and symbols, that is, performances, are necessary. Meetings are useful for unifying the direction of the attendees’ will and codifying it. Theory is necessary to design and create devices and systems that maintain, fulfill, utilize, and exert the power of the field. If the theory that produces such devices and systems is not systematized or unified, the devices and systems produced will be diverse. Today, modern medicine has developed, and world healthcare has been somewhat unified, but before the development of Western medicine, even medicine was entirely different depending on ethnicity, religion, and thought, including magical elements. Today, there is still no unified theory regarding artificial fields. Therefore, the world is divided into several blocks.

I cannot agree with the idea of judging human relationships in general while ignoring the field created by emotions and feelings, that is, the heart. The field created by emotions and feelings exists in both the internal and external worlds. The internal field that creates emotions and feelings is the heart, and the external field is crowd psychology. We must not overlook the important role that this invisible power of the field plays in human actions and social changes.

When trying to change the world or create a new society, leaders agitate the masses or start some movement. When trying to win the support of the masses, they excite the people through marches and speeches. This is because they try to draw out the power of the field lurking within the masses and use it as the energy for change. They use light and sound to make the crowd enthusiastic and lead them into a state of intoxication. By organizing the masses, they gather that energy and give it direction, and sometimes explode it. Revolution and change require the power of the masses. Leaders know that it
