At this age, I’ve come to realize something.
Everyone lives within relationships.
We exist because of these connections.
We cannot live without being involved with something.
Therefore, life is about how we interact with others.
Relationships are seen through cause and effect.
It’s karma, or fate.
All phenomena are the result of unseen causes.
We are all connected by some kind of fate.
There are good and bad fates.
Cherishing good relationships leads to happiness.
God desires for people to be happy. And God shows us that we cannot be happy unless we desire it and help each other. Suffering gives birth to hope. That too is providence. You cannot gain joy by taking the easy way out. Learning to take it easy does not lead to happiness. Ease only becomes the seed of suffering.
If you desire to be happy, you can overcome suffering. If you do not desire happiness, you will sink into a world of suffering.
People cannot be happy alone. Alone, they cannot realize their happiness. The self is known through relationships with others. Without interaction with the outside world, one cannot understand oneself. In terms of recognition, the self cannot recognize its existence alone. The self is formed through relationships with others.
Success comes from effort. Enlightenment comes from training. Victory comes from practice. Joy is shared through joint effort. Joy is gained by overcoming difficulties. Results come from work. God desires for all living beings to be happy. Therefore, God gives trials to all living beings. Only those who overcome these trials can be happy. However, God does not test us. Whether we desire happiness or not is a choice we make. The important thing is that God desires for people to be happy. But happiness cannot be achieved unless we desire it. This can be seen in the events of this world. God does not tell us to be happy. God simply shows us. Knowing oneself and understanding oneself is the key to happiness. People cannot surpass God. They cannot become God. What God hates most is arrogance. Arrogance makes one lose sight of oneself.
God desires for us to be happy. This can be seen in what God shows us.
By considering what makes people happy and what makes them unhappy, we can understand what God desires.
Greed makes people lonely. Give, and it shall be given unto you. If you hoard blessings, people’s hearts will drift away. Even those you love. Sharing brings people together. Sharing makes people feel happy. Loneliness makes the heart cold and desolate. Sharing joy warms the heart. Resentment dries and desolates the heart. Love enriches the heart. Hatred and conflict freeze the heart. Kindness and compassion warm and melt the heart. Envy makes one miserable. Praising others allows one to share in honor.
People who only think about themselves make themselves unhappy. Alone, they cannot even recognize their own joy.
It’s like masturbating in front of someone you love. It only makes you miserable.
Money is a means to make people happy, but if you do not desire happiness, only money remains.
Cursing others curses oneself. Blessing others blesses oneself.
Happiness is something you grasp for yourself, not something given by others.
You cannot protect a family if no one tries to protect it. You cannot protect a company if no one tries to protect it. You cannot protect a country if no one tries to protect it.
Happiness is not easily obtained. Therefore, we are made to think about what makes us happy.
Happiness does not come from conflict. People cannot live alone. They cannot be happy alone.
Happiness must be helped and shared. Happiness is born from resonance and empathy. Therefore, people vow to be happy together before God.
Marriage is not for taking it easy. Happiness comes from sharing both joy and sorrow. Love is nurtured. Childbirth is painful. The joy of giving birth is felt through labor pains.
Because there is the pain of childbirth, one can raise a child.
Pleasure is the seed of suffering. Pleasure scatters the seeds of disaster. People are weak to temptation.
What God hates is arrogance, bravado, and vanity. Because they lack substance. Because they lack truth and sincerity. Therefore, arrogance, bravado, and vanity make one lose sight of their true self. What God loves is your true self, just as you are. Truth. God hates lies.
Abandon pretense. Regardless of beauty or ugliness, nobility or baseness. God loves all of you. All living things are born through God’s blessing.
Listen to your heart for the sins and punishments set by God. Follow the laws for the sins and punishments set by people.
Forgiveness is salvation. Forgiving others saves oneself. That is love.
It’s not that you can’t forgive others. It’s that you can’t forgive yourself. Forgiving others is difficult, but forgiving oneself is even more difficult. People commit sins.
God forgives. If you cannot forgive yourself, ask God for forgiveness. And pray. Pray quietly. You cannot gain forgiveness by blaming yourself forever.
God is grace. God is love. God is forgiveness.
If you acknowledge your mistakes, repent, and reform, God will forgive you.
Those who do not fear God do not acknowledge their sins, do not repent, and do not reform. Therefore, they make not only themselves but also those around them unhappy.
God is grace. People live by God’s grace. God gives endlessly.
“Nosaran fuku wa negai mosan” (I do not wish for undeserved blessings). “If you follow the prescribed way of life and do the right thing, the mountain god will give you game. I do not wish for more than that.” This is the heart of “nosaran fuku wa negai mosan.” “Nosaran” means undeserved, and it means “I am satisfied with what the mountain god has given me.” This is a practice passed down among hunters in Shiiba Village, Miyazaki Prefecture.
Lack is poverty. Knowing satisfaction always makes one rich. God says to desire happiness.
Ask, and it shall be given unto you. If you do not ask, you cannot be happy. Happiness becomes yours by sharing it.
If you sincerely desire to be happy and pray to God, God will show you hope. Whether you believe in and follow that path is your choice. That is faith.
Ask, and it shall be given unto you. Give, and it shall be given unto you.
